5 out of 5 stars This smoker is HUGE!!!   August 18, 2010
Shaun Jernagin
I have had my eye on the WSM for a couple of years now and I finally decided to order it. I am kicking myself now because I should have ordered this a long time ago. I made some chicken halves and they were by far the best chicken I have ever made, the water smoker kept them juicy with a nice hint of smoke flavor. Temperature control was easy and almost foolproof, check out the virtual weber website for helpful hints. I can't wait until football season kicks in because I will be making ribs every weekend!!!

4 out of 5 stars Just as good as its little brother.   August 17, 2010

Made with the quality you would expect from Weber. Just like the 18.5 inch but much bigger. Holds a steady cooking temperature for hours. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the thermometer is not very reliable. I just used my own thermometer. It was well packaged and arrived with no damage. Easy to assemble. With the quality that this cooker is made I'm sure I will be using it for many years.

5 out of 5 stars Bigger and Better   July 22, 2010

I had a 18" WSM for about 10 years before I got a buddy interested in smoking and sold it to him so I could buy the 22.5". Money well spent, the bigger size is great and there are a few upgrades in the last 10 years that make life easier (charcoal door). My only regret is that it will take me a little while to get the new one "seasoned" like my old one was, guess that means lots of ribs :-) Free shipping rocks and it showed up well sooner than original estimate.

This product is great, I have never used a smoker before and this is the easiest thing to use. My friends who have other types of smokers are envious of its ability to maintain such an even temperature without any fuss at all. Delivery from Amazon was flawless, right on time as promised.

5 out of 5 stars Best home smoker for under $400   July 9, 2010

I am a smoking enthusiast, and I usually am smoking something most every weekend - or more. When I started smoking I started with a Char-griller Smokin' Pro 800 that I had to modify to get it to work semi-decently. Then after about a year I switched to the 22.5" Weber Smokey Mountain - it was amazing how much better this smoker was!

The 22.5" has a ton of room! I did four 8 lb. pork butts and a 15 lb. brisket at the same time! It holds temperature amazingly well even in inclimate weather - I live in Oregon where it rains 7 months out of the year, and I smoke year around. If you are at all looking at getting into smoking or just want a better smoker, but don't want to drop $1000+, then I would highly recomend this smoker. It is super easy to set up, use, and clean - it's like smoking for dummies.

If you want to read about more people using these smokers check out this forum that I belong to. It is a bunch of smoking enthusiasts who all share lots of pictures, ideas, recipes, and opinions. [...]
